Carry Preparedness Shooting
This training course is geared to the new CCW applicant and or seasoned shooter needing a refresher on everyday firearm carry. This 2-hour class covers the basic defensive use of compact or full-size pistols for the everyday conceal carry license holder. This course will begin with the fundamentals of marksmanship, Muzzle awareness and move into more advanced drills. Students will improve their pistol handling skills with a strong emphasis on executing the fundamentals correctly, and efficiently while applying the correct amount of urgency into your gun handling and shooting as required for defensive firearm shooting.
*This course does not meet the requirements for holster certification at any CHS locations.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT TO BE PROVIDED BY THE STUDENT
- Full size or compact pistol. (No pocket guns or revolvers)
- Eye Protection (sunglasses are acceptable)
- Sturdy Belt (non-cloth, must be able to hold up the weight of a pisto)
- 2 magazines (10 round minimum)
- Holster (duty or concealed)
- 150 Rounds
- Long Pants
- Closed-toed shoes
Class Overview
Personal firearm is required. We will not provide a firearm. Bring a great attitude for Instructor Wesley!
